Plot Outline Admiral 13

Just finished the rough plot outline for Admiral 13 which I’m tentatively titling Admiral’s Fall.

Right now Admiral’s Nemesis Part 2 is still at my editor and I have yet to hear word back from him on his schedule but once I know something I’ll be sure to share it.

A big thanks to all my fans in the Admiral’s Universe.

Just for informations sake: will there ever be another Witch Guard novel at some point? Or are you done with that? (I mean, it’s clear that the plot isn’t finished, but I guess sometimes something just proves to be commercially unsuccessful or whatever…)

I haven’t given up on it. However its on the bottom of my to do pile. Simply because, yeah, it just doesn’t make very much at all.

I do have lots more ideas for the universe though.

        Alright, thanks for the info.
Shame about the commercial side of things, but it seems that success for indie series is pretty heavily luck-based (not to say that it’s completely out of anyone’s control, but it’s often tough to say why one thing is popular and another isn’t).

Well, for what it’s worth, you have at least one other WG fan ready to purchase the next novel, should it ever appear.

I’m glad to hear it. What do you like best about the Witch Guard books?

There is actually a lot of things about the Witchgaurd series I like.

First off, I like Sword and Sorcery fantasy, and the series is a good story, well told. I like stories that are epic in scope, and complex in plot, even if it’s not clear that is the case in the beginning. Even better that it starts off relatively simple and slowly builds from there, peeling back layer after layer of yet more things happening which will shake the world.

Here Falon goes off to fight in the Princes war to gain mastery over the Pink Princess. Yet, after each campaign, they keep going. Underlying all this is the trouble brewing with Tulla and her efforts to destroy all the “New Bloods” that are “oppressors” I like it that things are not so black and white and Tulla is misguided at best, forcing things to total disaster at worst. But it’s not just Tulla as there are different factions among the witches adding to the complexity. As a side note, I also quite enjoyed Falon’s Mom opening a can of whoop-a$$ on Tulla in book 2.

Then, I like Falon herself. She is a wonderful character. Starting off as a simple “fish out of water”, she grows from being a “girly-girl”, to learning how to think tactically and strategically, learning how to use magic, and growing to be a true leader. And she does this due to her own competence. I like how she is learning about magic from the Kingdom mages, and hope that will lead to a hybrid approach for her magic as she matures. It looks like there are momentous things on the horizon, and I like it that Falon is going to be right in the middle of it!

So, as you can tell, I really like WG and I hope to see the series go to completion!

Thanks Gordon. I really try to have non-simplistic plots and I’ve already plotted out the over arcing plot of basically two series worth of Falon stories.

I really hope I’ll be able to finish this series like it deserves at some point.

          thanks,
